 Resort
Diver follows the SDA Entry Level Program "Orientation to Scuba Diving", and
maybe upgraded to ITDA 2**Star and
Sports Diver Programs

Resort Diver
(May have completed an Entry Diver or DSD (PADI) or NAUI (ESE) or
Other recognised Entry Level program, prior to training. (And within the
last 12months) With a minimum of two(2) Dives. Or an Experience session / Entry Level, may be arranged
before formal Resort Training Commences. As a part of the Resort Program.
1. All programs from
Resort Diver level can use Nitrox and / or Air during Training.
(For Nitrox use, an Additional Theory session is required) With
completion of the SDA Sports Nitrox Program. (Diver is Limited to 32% or 36%
Mixes and 20metres Depth.)
2. From the Resort
Program basic Rescue and Life saving skills are taught, both in the pool
and in Open Water Training, plus our unique buddy system and risk
management programs.
3. SDA Resort Diver
may dive to 20m. (Supervision Required) From A Diving Professional.
4. Theory and
Practical Training Standards exceed all known standards for this level.
5. A minimum of 6 Open
Water Dives and 3 Pool Training Sessions must be completed.
6. SDA Resort Divers
may gain (limited) Specialist Diver Certifications. Reef / Eco Diver /
Photo etc. etc.
Upgrade
to Sports Diver. (2 Day Program)
An SDA Resort Diver
leaves the program with having a total of 8 Experience Dives (2 From the
Entry Level). This is building the foundation for a sound and safety
conscience future Diver... Novice divers are required to dive with
guides or other diving professionals until they have a minimum of 10
Open Water Dives, experience. Supervised dives maybe
conducted to 20m. See
SDA Cross Over's
Minimum of 10 Open
Water Dives required.. Logged & Verified
